It's time to MEET THE TEAM from the South!
Serving the Southern Frontier, Mexico, and the Southern Plains, this team supports learning environments across the South Territory. Ashton Leffring and Cole Voss serve as Regional Directors, working closely with Eddie Fisher to bring fresh perspectives and a shared commitment to creating spaces where students can connect, engage, and belong.
Let's get to know our team a little bit better!
Meet Cole Voss!
Please introduce yourself and tell us your job title.
Hey guys, my name is Cole Voss and I am the Regional Director for the Southern Plains Region.
How long have you worked at Fōmcore?
I have worked at Fōmcore now for 6 months.
What are some of your hobbies/interests?
I love going on walks and bike rides with my wife Alisha, our son Maddox, and our dog Indie. I am also a sucker for good food, so I really enjoy doing date nights with the family and trying a new restaurant every time we go out. Apart from those, you will likely find me in the water surfing while the family walks the beach and looks for shells.

What is your favorite Fōmcore piece that we make?
If I had to choose one favorite Fōmcore piece, I would have to go with the Huddle Bench.
Are there any projects you've worked on that have stood out to you?
One project that stood out to me in particular had different biome themes for the different grade levels (Desert, Jungle, Ocean, etc.). It was really cool to see how our partners in the network were able to incorporate our custom pieces so they flowed and coordinated seamlessly with the design of that school.
What is one experience in the field that has stuck with you?
I recently heard a story about a teacher who used our Hug Chair as a tool for student regulation. Her role is to help students who have IEPs or learning disabilities. One of her students in particular took a liking to the Hug Chair. After seeing this, the teacher was able to schedule his time in the Hug Chair and in a normal chair — 5 minutes in the Hug Chair, then 10 minutes in the regular desk chair. This is a great example of how our furniture is simply a tool that educators can use to help create better learning environments for their students.
We talk a lot about how learning happens everywhere. What does this mean to you and how have you seen this play out in educational environments?
Intentional growth is not limited to the classroom. Whether you are in a hallway, lobby, clinic waiting room, common area, media center, or classroom, the environments that are created impact people. The right design and product can create a positive experience for everyone who interacts with those spaces. It could be an individual realizing they have the freedom to pull away from a busy common area to connect with a peer one-on-one. It could be a child who feels comforted by the fun, creative design of a doctor's office waiting area. Or it could be a group of college students moving furniture around to collaborate on a group project in the science center.

Meet Ashton Leffring!
Please introduce yourself and tell us your job title.
Hey y’all, I’m Ashton Leffring. I’m the Regional Director for the Southern Frontier.
How long have you worked at Fōmcore?
I’ve been here since the start in 2017!
What are some of your hobbies/interests?
I’m big into soccer, surfing, snowboarding, and coffee. Honestly, anything with good people.
What is your favorite Fōmcore piece that we make?
Easy choice, I’d have to go with the Lily Perch. I love how it creates knee-to-knee, eye-to-eye learning and supports more personal connection in the classroom.
Are there any projects you’ve worked on that have stood out to you?
One of my favorites was my first installation in Mexico with Gebesa. We created a really cool custom S-curve for their corporate offices, which was awesome to see come to life.
What is one experience in the field that has stuck with you?
I’m still fairly new in this role, but something I’ve really come to love is seeing students walk into a new space that’s creative and engaging. It’s cool to watch how those environments help them feel like they belong.
We talk a lot about how learning happens everywhere. What does this mean to you and how have you seen this play out in educational environments?
Learning happens everywhere is huge for me. I think especially about calming corners and regulation zones. My second grade teacher had a big impact on me by creating a soft space where I could self-regulate and learn in my own way. That’s something that’s stuck with me, and it’s cool to see that same idea come to life in the spaces we’re creating today.
Meet Eddie Fisher!
Please introduce yourself and tell us your job title.
Hey everyone, I’m Eddie Fisher, the Customer Service Rep for the South Regions: Southern Frontier and Southern Plains.
How long have you worked at Fōmcore?
6 years.
What are some of your hobbies/interests?
Video games, fishing, playing music, and tennis.
What is your favorite Fōmcore piece that we make?
F150 – I really enjoy the Club Social. More recently, I’ve been enjoying the Fōm Bag with my dog a lot, and I really enjoy the new Giddy Up.

Are there any projects you've worked on that have stood out to you?
Over the years, it’s been nice to help out locally with some of our partners and schools one-on-one. Our current offering of Tucker the Turtle and Freddie the Frog actually came from a project I helped on in the South, and it’s cool to see those become new standards we offer!
Whether you're exploring new ideas, planning a space, or bringing a vision to life, this team is ready to support you every step of the way!
