The Game of FŌM26 Round Two : Maximillano Maceda 

PLAYING IT FORWARD ROUND TWO

From June 8 through July 3, our team officially kicks off Round Two of The Game of FŌM26! Each week, we'll roll the dice to unlock our next move — finding new ways to connect, engage, belong, and bless others along the way.

FŌM26 is our annual company-wide giving initiative, where reaching team goals helps provide direct support to individuals and families in need. It's a reminder that the impact we make extends far beyond the workplace.

This round, we're honored to play for Maximiliano Maceda and his family. Keep reading to learn more about their story.

MAXIMILIANO MACEDA'S STORY

Maximiliano was nominated by Rosa Maria Avila, a member of our Lakeshore Facility sewing team. Rosa has known Maximiliano's wife, Yatsary, for many years and has remained close with the family. When she learned about Maximiliano's diagnosis, she knew she wanted to find a way to support them.

In March, Maximiliano was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. The diagnosis came after months of hospital visits, uncertainty, and searching for answers. Following his diagnosis, he endured three months of intensive treatment, including four aggressive rounds of chemotherapy.

Throughout this journey, Yatsary stepped away from work to be by her husband's side, helping care for him through every appointment, treatment, and challenge. Together, they faced an incredibly difficult season with strength, determination and support.

Today, there is reason to celebrate.

Maximiliano is now in remission and recently returned home from the hospital. While he still has follow-up appointments, an upcoming procedure to remove his port, and one final scan ahead, his family is hopeful about what comes next.

As he continues to recover, Maximiliano is looking toward the future with a goal of becoming a mechanic. He is incredibly grateful for the support of his wife, family, friends, and community who have walked alongside him every step of the way.
