From June 2–27, our team is #PlayingItForward for McDowell County Schools.
In February 2025, McDowell County, West Virginia, experienced catastrophic flooding that caused widespread damage across the community. Homes, roads, and schools were heavily impacted, and the effects on students and families were immediate.
Schools closed for weeks, families were displaced, and many students couldn’t return due to unsafe roads or loss of housing. In the days that followed, school buildings became emergency shelters, providing basic needs and support for the community. Even after reopening, recovery remained a challenge. But through it all, the district stayed focused on connection, care, and helping the community move forward.
We are thankful for the opportunity to Fulfill Our Mission to bless others and #PlayItForward. Learn more about FŌM25.
