Wouldn’t it be cool if your students had a say in the furniture that they interact with every day?
We thought so, too, which is why we created the For Students By Students Program, aka FSBS. Through FSBS, students get to design a unique piece of furniture for their school through a curriculum we co-create with the school. From getting to know the manufacturing process to selecting fabric, students learn as their design comes to life. And we as a manufacturer get to hear directly what students want, which helps us innovate and improve our products! Perhaps most importantly, involving children in the design of their learning environment fosters creativity and inclusivity, and a culture where “students take ownership of their learning goals and outcomes in both independent and group settings” (Grant, K, 2018).
