At Fōmcore, our daily practices, beliefs and traditions as a team define who we are.
This is us, #AtOurCore.
If you have been following our site this month, you may have noticed that we have been sharing a bit more about who we are as a team. Last week, we were excited to introduce our Regional Director for the West, Caleb Siebert and his unique insight into Fōmcore values.
Today, we are pleased to introduce you to Mark, Regional Director for the Midwest! Mark is another one of the awesome folks behind Fōmcore’s company culture, and he strives to encourage leadership and collaborative learning every day.
Let’s start get to know Mark…
Hello! Can you introduce yourself and your role at Fōmcore?
I am Mark Gardner, the Regional Director for the Midwest. I am responsible for customer relations with all of our Midwest dealers. My main focus is giving great customer service to them. We are growing this territory through great partnerships and hard work.
Do you have a favorite piece of furniture?
Favorite piece is a hard one! Professionally, I like any of our curved pieces because they help break up linear spaces and really transform the space. Personally, I love the foam bags because they are great for chilling or gaming!
What was your favorite subject of study in grade school, and what did you want to be when you grew up?
Dang, favorite subject was my technology courses (yes I am that old) because of the influence it has had on me in my life. I just have to have all the tech gadgets and it drives my wife crazy!!! I wanted to be an Army solider as a very young kid. Eventually I did join the Army and served 4 years.
What is something people might be surprised to know about you?
Not a surprise once you get to know the wife and I, but we love to travel to warm climates. We love going to Mexico, Jamaica and Punta Cana.
Is there something specific you think people should know about Fōmcore products?
This is all we do, so we know soft seating and foam. We are dedicated to our new products but we are more dedicated to our dealers.
And finally, how do you hope to impact the lives of others through your work?
I hope to first make my dealers very successful in providing great customer service and an outstanding product. With that being said, I want our products to change how students learn today. It’s okay to lay on the floor with your feet on the top of furniture and study. It’s about making students comfortable and that will excite and engage them! Don’t you learn and pay attention more when you’re comfortable?
Thanks to Mark for chatting a little with us about Fōmcore! Stay tuned for more #AtOurCore stories and more!
